Pond Island –TelEm Group is keeping the Carnival spirit running high with the announcement of new roaming rates just days after the official closing of Carnival 2022 in St. Maarten.

The new rates are specially designed to keep mobile customers connected locally, regionally, and internationally, and are being billed as the company’s lowest roaming rates EVER!

According to TelEm Group Marketing Officer, Adrian Lista, the lower standardized roaming rates is an easy and affordable way for TelEm Group customers to stay connected while travelling for business or pleasure.

“We have standardized our Roaming Rates per region, so no matter what network you are using in that particular region, you will never be surprised by unexpected roaming rates.

“We’ve created new rate plans for The Caribbean, North America, South America and Europe. So, for instance, wherever in the Caribbean you travel, you will always pay the same rate when making and/or receiving calls or using data, with next to no exceptions.” said Mr. Lista.

“We have all had a great and successful return to carnival and TelEm Group is making it more affordable to keep the carnival chat going or to send some of those carnival pix so others can see what they missed,” joked the TelEm Group Marketing Officer.

TelEm Group Roaming Officer, Nina Diaz, says the new low standardized roaming rates are aimed at providing a hassle-free roaming experience that will keep customers connected while abroad.

“Outgoing call rates are as low as 12 cents per minute to roam throughout Canada and the USA, and as low as 25 cents a minute while travelling and roaming throughout the Caribbean region and Europe. Using data while traveling is also affordable, with data rates as low as 10 cents per MB while in North & South America, Europe, and the Caribbean region,” said Ms. Diaz.

The Roaming Officer says the new rates apply to both TelEm’s Postpaid and Prepaid plans, wherein all customers can automatically continue to use their TelEm mobile service internationally. In the case of prepaid customers, all incoming and outgoing calls and data used while abroad will be charged directly to their available prepaid balance, therefore, before travelling prepaid customers should ensure they have sufficient credit on their device(s) to make use of the roaming service.
